On behalf of the Ministry of Oil and Gas of the Republic of Kazakhstan I am glad to welcome the exhibitors and visitors to the 8th Mangystau Regional Oil, Gas and Infrastructure Exhibition!
Kazakhstan, being at the interface of Europe and Asia, is a key artery in the Eurasian continent.
The geopolitical situation of the Republic, its natural resources allow us to be one of the leading economies of the region. However, dynamic development requires sound policies aimed primarily at attracting foreign investment, transfer of technologies and development of innovations. Oil and gas industry is the key industry in the economy of our State. Improving the legal and regulatory framework, trade and economic cooperation, harmonization of national legislation and international legal norms all these create conditions for the development of all sectors of the oil and gas industry.
The exhibition in Aktau has become a traditional meeting place for the oil and gas industry specialists. This year is the 8th time when Mangystau Regional Oil, Gas and Infrastructure Exhibition gathers under its flags Kazakhstan and foreign participants. The event became a clear indication of the achievements of the industry and reflects the level of competitiveness of domestic enterprises. Exhibitors will again have the opportunity to showcase their latest developments, see the trends of the oil and gas market in Kazakhstan and the prospects for cooperation in the implementation of investment projects.
Mangistau region is one of the most strategically important regions of Kazakhstan, which has enormous potential, and we hope that the annual exhibition in Aktau will give a new impetus to the development of the region, opening new perspectives for the effective interaction of domestic and international oil and gas sector. The development of cross-border cooperation and transport hubs are among the priorities of the economic policy. I express the hope that the exhibition will provide favorable conditions for a constructive dialogue between potential partners and government representatives.

Mangystau region plays an important role in the economic development of the country. Besides, its geopolitical location determines its role as a major artery in strengthening the cooperation of the Caspian region. To date, the region is implementing a number of innovative projects, primarily in the oil and gas industry to modernize existing facilities. Ongoing government programs open up new opportunities for international business-partnership and attracting foreign investments.
I think that the interest in the region will continue to grow, especially because of such international oil and gas activities as the exhibition "Mangystau Oil & Gas Infrastructure." It is gratifying to note that every year there are new participants from different countries, the show really has established itself as an important platform for new ideas and opportunities.

It is not the first year, when Mangystau Oil, Gas & Infrastructure Exhibition gathers hundreds of exhibitors from different countries, representatives of science, production and management of all areas of oil and gas industry, representatives of government agencies; gives participants the opportunity to assert their positions in the industry, to demonstrate their potential, to strengthen business ties and expand the horizons of cooperation. We are very pleased with the presence of Russian companies, which is proof of their success in this market.
